Our Story
AJ’s Happy Chick Farm was named in both memory and celebration of AJ Dedona, a remarkable soul whose love inspired this journey for our family. For 10 years AJ’s Happy Chick operated as a hobby farm in Westchester, NY, selling a variety of fowl, produce, and canned goods. 2016 after years of planning, AJHC relocated to Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom and set roots down on a 140-acre mountain-side property locally known as the Sinon Homestead.
Historical records and decedents tell us that after arriving by oxen the Sinon family cultivated this land, building a prosperous dairy farm whose big red barn stands strong to this day.
